Oh...We got a big big mess..

Life has been pretty good to me.

So after searching high and low for a part-time job, I finally got one as a as a Video Camera/Streaming operator at the Athletics Department at UCR. Aside from filming/broadcasting the games, they referred me to the Big West Conference to work on "special projects," such as interviewing people for video diaries, and editing/compositing some videos together(hopefully). Other than that, I'm also applying for transfer. UCI, UCSC, and UCSB. I kinda like it out here now, but I just want to keep my options open just in case I end up not liking it anymore..

A couple more things you don't know about me, and still wish you didn't.
1. Whenever I watch something (tv, movie, lecture) I always tilt my head at a 45 degree angle to the right. Lazy? probably. Look stupid? most definitely.
2. I just killed some ants in the bathroom with my bare thumb, and let their corpses collect. I counted my kills out loud just like Orlando Bloom in LOTR: The Two Towers. I got about 100 ants. Beat that Orlie.

3. I have never carved a Jack-O-lantern before. After Grace reminisced to me about her carving pumpkins on family night, and eating the pumpkin seeds right after her mom pulled them from the oven, I realized that I have missed out. This will change...very soon...

Shirts for Sale!

So i decided to pick up screen printing as my next hobby, and after many failures, tears, and spills, this is what I have come up with. I know it's still a disappointment, but eh.. what you gonna do. These shirts go for $12 USD a piece, and there are many more designs to come. Just let me know your size, what color shirt, and how many. Don't bother leaving messages on this blog, because I don't really check it. You can email me, or AIM me.

My yellow in this case is not so mellow

Dear Blogger,

I apologize for not writing to you more frequently.
It's just that i met a girl named Xanga. I know, exotic right?
She's everything a guy could ever want. She's vibrant, popular,
and she fulfills with all of my needs...you know..blogging
needs? I'm sorry Blogger, I admit this is unfair to you and
that I am a Xanga-whore, but this is the last time I will
be writing to you.

Eric

that's how my break up letter, or excuse me, break up blog, would go. ( i know i'm lame, so shut your face)

Here's the real thing:

Dear Blogger,

Things have been going well in the Bay Area. This past weekend, I went fishing with some old buddies. We didn't catch anything, but it was nice just to relax and drift around the lake.

13 Things You Don't Know About Me (But wish you still didn't know)
^The person I got this from had 100 things, but I'm just not that interesting

1. I am someone’s GBF, although I am not G.
2. I had surgery a total of two times.
3. I used to take figure skating lessons. I was 6. Scott Hamilton was my idol, until he lost his balls.
4. I have seen Independence Day a total of 25 times
5. I’m a sucker for disaster/monster movies
6. Throughout my extensive soccer career of 10 years playing AYSO, I only scored one goal.
7. I was mistaken for a girl…. when I was 11.
8. Every time I take a bite of food, I always wipe my mouth with a napkin. Even when I know there’s nothing on my mouth, I wipe.
9. I keep a diary, but only write in it when good things happen.
10. Because of my bad circulation to my limbs and digits, I curl my toes. Even when I am warm, I curl them anyways. Now, they are very curly
11. I am bottom-heavy
12. I loathe the cars and the drivers who have license plate covers of where they are alumni of.
13. I love peanut butter so much, that I want to make peanut butter chap stick so I can just lick it off my lips whenever I want. Although it wouldn't look very attractive, cause it would just like you went to town on a pile of...well you know...doody.

As my stay here in norcal comes to a close, I wonder what my plans for the next summer will be. Loveboat? Study Abroad? Backpacking in South America? If anyone's interested, holla back. I can't wait to go home.

Sincerely,
Eric Chiang

Disclaimer: Beware of Boring. Do not read if operating heavy machinery

Dear Blogger,

I have a feeling this is going to be a summer of many firsts. Within these two weeks, I have already rented my first motel room, have my alternator die on me, drive 450 miles all by myself and another 450 miles with a friend, and start a REAL internship. But a first that I really want to experience this summer, which many teenagers yearn for, that sweet taste of pleasure, that smoldering hot passion, is to get....me...PAID!! ahhh!!! you thought i was going to say "LAID" didn't you!?! you naughty boy/girl you! but yeah, this is my first real internship that pays a decent amount. Not like teaching kids at summer camp (JOL, Irvine Academy), some crappy movie theater, or being a temp for random companies. I'm interning at a advertising/marketing design company called "Designworks" in San Jose. They make logos, websites, flash media, brochures, and other cool stuff to advertise our clients and their products. My schedule is.. Business class from 7:30am - 9:30am, then work from 10:00am - 5:00pm, and finally Business Law class from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, and hopefully squeeze in a workout afterwards. On the weekends, I'm totally free, so visit me if you can!
While in Norcal, I'm staying at my boss's place in a little town called Los Gatos. It's really isolated and filled with trees and wildlife. Oh yeah! We have a family(a mommy and two babies) of deer living in our backyard. They're not very social. They just sit there and eat, and if I come around they ignore me or they run away. How rude..

Sincerely,
Eric Chiang
